In our proposal, the earth rises to meet the sky. The triangular shape of the building references the Trinity, and provides focus and direction—from the nave to the chancel, from the ground to the sky. A landscaped berm and a sloping roof are covered in living native flora, and angle up to heaven. In the context of the Air Force Village, the chapel points towards the community lake. Water is a symbol of renewal. This community comprises retired Air Force members, and our chapel is a spiritual center possessing a memorable iconic image of strength, heroism and monumentality.

In the sanctuary, the massive walls and distinct windows give natural light a presence and power, creating a holy place for worshippers.
